This is an excellent opportunity to get people involved in ministry. The Ministry of Encouragement is biblical and it is demonstrated by God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is a ministry that has been dropped by most of the church and it is desperately needed in the world today. All of the teaching videos, audios, and notes necessary to help people become ministers of encouragement are available for free on the Preaching in Shorts website. To get your Sunday School class started we encourage you to get everyone started with these two foundational elements of the ministry of encouragement.

The first thing that all ministers of encouragement need to do is start everyday by being thankful for at least five things. This is an extremely important habit to develop as it helps to get the right perspective. We are far to influenced by the negativity of the grumpy culture around us that is beaten down with an unending supply of bad news spun to make it worse. Remembering five good things in your life everyday helps to get your perspective from the throne room of God instead of from the culture. Here is a video that might help you get started:

The other foundational element is to try and encourage at least two people each day. When you encourage two people, three people are encouraged!
